MOSCOW, Mar 25 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) is likely to fall in 2020, the Audit Chamber’s head Alexei Kudrin said at a meeting at the Federation Council, the parliament’s upper house, on Wednesday.
“The problems caused by coronavirus, its spread, suspension of some production facilities, violation of production chains will result in a probable lack of economic growth this year,” he said.
“I am putting it softly. The forecasts are being elaborated, and we will likely have a decline in GDP.”
